Situated approximately 15 kilometers to the east of Antalya, Perge stands as an ancient city with roots dating back to Hellenistic times, tracing its history to before 1200 BC. Archaeological discoveries, such as obsidian and flint artifacts, indicate that Perge served as a settlement since the Neolithic and Copper Ages. The site features remarkably well-preserved ruins, encompassing a stadium, theater, agora, streets, Helen's door, and a Turkish bath. Perge held significant importance as a central hub for the ancient Pamphylia region.
